Not everything is so bad, but there are disadvantages.

I bought it because in a 3-room apartment the standard WIFI point does not reach all corners. I set it up without problems, but I managed to achieve normal operation only when the TL-WA860RE has a network name that is different from the main point.
Since the TL-WA860RE can be easily hacked remotely, I had to flash the OpenWRT firmware, after which the operation of the device became even more stable.

I can recommend to buy only if you have direct hands for subsequent firmware replacement, the device cannot be operated with firmware from the manufacturer for security reasons!

Pros

Easy to use, plug it in and forget it. The presence of a wired port.

Cons

The main disadvantage is that it is impossible to turn off or somehow configure WPS, as a result of which the router is hacked in seconds and it becomes possible to get the network password with any protection. There is no new firmware that fixes this shortcoming. Plus, unstable operation when setting the network name of TL-WA860RE is identical to the network of the main access point.
