At this time of the year I clean the solar panels every 2 weeks (due to dust in the air). The inverter at the coupler used to produce 700 watts from 12:00 to 14:00, but suddenly it went down to 500 watts and many variations, from 350 to 500 watts in a minute. I thought about the cleanliness of the solar panels. I cleaned the solar panels and the power didn't increase as expected. I started checking the solar panels with a watt meter, but when I went to turn off the first solar panel (of 3 operational Canadian solar panels, 365 watts each) I saw that the plug was in bad shape. The connector was hot while holding it (minus side). When I checked the positive side it was cold but the negative side was hot. , overheated and it was not possible to remove one partition from another. Both parts had to be removed and replaced with new parts. After crimping I soldered the cable-clamp connection. This did not solve the problem at all, the inverter continued to produce 400-500 watts, and the power fluctuations continued. When I checked the connection after the switch, where another MC4 connector was installed, the MC4 connector was also damaged due to overheating. I had to cut a piece of wire, plug other MC4 connectors and weld after crimping. I mean 2 MC4 connectors have failed after 2 weeks of operation on the same negative wire. One was outside the house and the other was inside the house.
