Perfect fit for our 2000+ mile trip to Florida. The bag is NOT waterproof, don't know why it says so in some descriptions. It's a fabric bag with a zipper, it just doesn't work! I sprayed it with a waterproof spray (Scotchgard) before using it and I think it helped A LOT! Every day we experienced very strong thunderstorms and one night it rained heavily for several hours. Some content was slightly damp but not soaked. I mainly store bulky beach gear and the occasional item that isn't needed often. Do not store anything that can be permanently damaged by moisture/humidity! Withstood the beating - the zip works great, easy to attach and remove from the car. The only negative was that the straps sometimes loosened a bit, after a few hundred kilometers I had to check them while driving and tighten them if necessary.
