I bought these hoping to use them in my fryer basket but you can't open them easily enough to do what I wanted . I thought this would be a good substitute for lifting a wire basket with folded paper towels, but it's too difficult to place them on the basket with one hand at a time. I know it's not exactly fair to stop because they didn't do what I wanted, but even with pot handles, I expect to be able to open and close them with just a few fingers. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't mostly formed in the closed position.
