I bought this pump over a year ago and today I realized how profitable it was. I use a pump to bring water from rain barrels to plants. Also use it for the irrigation system of greenhouses when we are not at home. I have also used it as a drain pump to pump water out of the greenhouse after a heavy rain. Using it as a sump was a mistake on my part as the sump contained rocks and clay and part of the pump mechanism was damaged. It still worked and now I have an inlet strainer when using any liquid that isn't clean liquid. However, after a few months the rubber mechanism wore out from such abuse. We are going away for a few weeks and my greenhouse plants will surely die if not watered on time. But wait - the pump came with spare parts including the rubber mechanism which I destroyed. So a quick switch and my plants will live another day. Extraup added these additions very carefully for us laypeople. They could have saved a few cents by not including them, but I'm glad they did.
