Works surprisingly well!

2 of these work well in an older Ivy Bridge based system with 1TB WD SN750 Black SSDs. The system booted and Windows was recognized immediately without any BIOS settings or drivers - installation is extremely easy. One drive was installed first with no thermal pads and a case/radiator shroud, and the other with a full sandwich of pads. and case/heatsink to see if there was a noticeable temperature difference between them. It turns out to be a very large temperature difference between the two, which surprises me given the thickness of the thermal pads (blue ones are used on both sides) and the lack of fins on the cases, but still a 10-15 temperature drop degrees Celsius compared to the bare drive. After testing both drives for baseline, I reinstalled the other drive with thermal pads and case and both are now working within 1 degree Celsius of each other.
