I almost overlooked this product because the name led me to believe it was for fish that wasting away. Not so! It is designed to remove cyanobacteria ("red slime") from reef saltwater tanks. Products that claim to get rid of "red spots" stop working after a few months. I think it's bacterial resistance. So I considered other types of products. This product isn't the only "our bacteria kills red goo" product I've tried, so I was a bit skeptical. But after using it for a few months (and removing the red slime weekly) I found I no longer needed to remove it! The corals and other creatures in my tank don't react at all to this, unlike "red spot removers". Well, that's not entirely true. Corals show feeding behavior after the aquarium treatment. This product also does not cause excessive degreasing of my skimmer. Hair algae are not reduced, which would be nice. But hey. I'm just glad I got rid of the red goosebumps. Now the bottle is almost empty. I anticipate having to purchase another bottle in the future and I will happily do so.
