Review on Enhance Your Gaming Experience with ViewSonic XG270: 1920X1080P, 240Hz, Anti-Glare, and Improved Ergonomics by Fernando Branch

I'm a very serious FPS player and a bit of a PC fanatic. I've always been a big fan of Samsung panels and have never looked away from their monitors or TVs since they came into play until now. I was ready to buy the G7 Odyssey until I saw on the Blur Fighters that the ViewSonic Elite XG270 was the first monitor they certified for PureXp Blur Reduction. I also saw that it's a sub-1ms GTG IPS panel. I've always liked IPS over TN for color accuracy and deep blacks, but I wanted a minimum 240Hz refresh and it wasn't an option I found from a brand I trusted. I have to say that ViewSonic does not disappoint. This thing is AMAZING. It's so fast, so clean and runs buttery smooth in FPS games with my 2080ti at 300 frames. G-Sync is a must and when I lock it to 240Hz it's literally perfection. No artifacts, no OD ghosts, just pure and crisp speed. Not to mention that it was cheaper. I personally prefer 1920x1080 for FPS games because it's easier for your card to run at high frame rates on 2k or 4k monitors. If you need more screen real estate, opt for the 1440p version for a few hundred bucks. There's nothing to be ashamed of at 165Hz BUT if you want the absolute butter of 240Hz in a game then this is the way to go. A few things to note that I understood. 1. If you want to use pureexp, you cannot enable G-Sync. Personally, I can't tell them apart and I'm obsessed with them, so I leave G-Sync on. 2. You can overclock this to 241Hz at 8-bit color but I can't tell so I'll leave it at 240 10-bit. 3. You can use your graphics card to overclock this to 2560 x 1440 @ 165Hz and it works really well, but the text is a little blurry so you have to adjust the Clear Type settings and even then it's not good as the original 1440p. Overall I am REALLY happy with this monitor and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a gaming monitor.
