Review on Zojirushi Thermal Serve Carafe: 1.0 Liter Capacity, Japan-Made Quality, Polished Stainless Steel by Joshua Coulter

This item has replaced the thermos that I have used for many, many years. The old carafe was not a well-known brand, probably made in India, but still had an excellent double-walled glass thermos in a plastic case. The plastic of the cap deteriorated and finally failed. After buying many alternatives I settled on this Zojirush decanter as a replacement. The item only arrived packaged in a Zojirushi box but was completely undamaged with no scratches. Soaked and rinsed in hot soapy water for several hours. It was ready to use. I make tea in the morning and drink several cups over the next few hours. The insulating ability is suitable for my use. Sometimes I make a second carafe of tea and don't finish it. Although not hot, the next morning it is still hot enough to drink like a very warm tea. I usually microwave the leftover tea for 45 seconds or a minute to bring it to my desired temperature. I am very happy with the purchase.
