It took me 15 minutes to install the lock. Determine if your door is right-handed, outside, not inside the house. It will be easy to screw the screws into the handle if you temporarily remove the handle, I used a small flat head screwdriver to push the hole at the bottom of the handle. Once the screws are screwed in, push the handle back until you hear a slight click. I can lock the door just by turning the handle - both inside and outside. You can also lock/unlock with a key. Overall this is a great product that works without batteries or other electronics. I love this purely mechanical lock that you can rely on. It will take a few days to get used to the combination you have chosen. So when you have set the combination, think about your fingers - which combination they "like".
