I didn't know I needed a nice shower hose until I bought one and two weeks later it burst open and sprayed everywhere. Not only did I have a mess to clean up, but I was now without a working shower. On top of that, the old broken hose didn't fit in the opening and was flopping around in the shower head holder. I saw that this one was better made and looked durable. When I received it, I realized how nice a hose could be. It's probably a bit overkill, but at this cost, why not? It also has a nice rubber ring where it sits in the mount and it's the right size, so I can point ithe head at the wall while it's warming up.
