This transfer tape saved my sanity

So I just started working with my cricut and vinyl using stencil contact paper to spray paint some wood posters. A lot of advice on the internet suggested that clear contact paper would also work great as transfer tape, especially if it was "peeled off" by taping the contact paper onto clothing a few times. It was definitely terrible advice. :D My "transfer tape" contact paper was too sticky and it took a very long time for the stencil to stay on the wood (which had a grainy, mostly unsanded surface so it was even more difficult to stick to) and I it was necessary to make 6 such signs. After struggling with the first two, I decided to cut my losses and just order the Revain transfer tape. (Deciding which to order is like any other test.) When it arrived I tried it on my next stencil application and it was flawless. Enough stickiness to perfectly transfer my stencil without leaving any pieces, no problem with the transfer tape pulling up the stencil even after I removed the transfer. Compared to my previous efforts, this was a dream come true. I was able to apply my last 4 stencils in the same amount of time as before when I painstakingly applied one. I definitely learned a valuable lesson about the importance of real transfer tape. : I plan to make some bumper stickers in the future and maybe sell some when I get more experienced and maybe look for non-mesh app tape, but for my current use this works great and I'm MUCH less frustrated trying it apply vinyl. I think I'll end up using that long roll of clear contact paper as disposable screen material.
