I recently set up my home wireless system by replacing a Belkin G with a dual band Netgear Rangemax and it was a complete disaster. Rangemax had known firmware issues that prevented multiple computers from connecting without rebooting and disconnecting every five minutes - Rangemax client support was terrible. Now I have this DIR-855 installed and I love it! Up to three laptops, four desktops and two X-Box machines are running simultaneously anywhere on our network, and we won't experience any latency or signal dropouts when using the N and G channels at the same time. The Xbox Live experience for boys has improved beyond belief. I was concerned about finding the DMZ or NAT settings on this new device and I haven't had to look for them once since the initial setup. Easy to install, fast and stable connection. The only downside I can find with this system is that the N-channel is weaker than I expected. A desktop goes through two walls and is about 50 feet from the router, and the best I can do is make an "honest" connection at about the same speed I can connect to channel G. Machines that are less than 30 feet long and have only one wall seem to get a consistent 80 Mbps depending on the state of the network connection on the machines. high quality device.
