Good router for computers and supplies

After researching information on CNET and a few other sites, I chose this router because it allowed me to share printers and a USB hard drive for backups to use. each of my home computers. Setup was easy, it works as advertised and is fast. My old router was fine, but I upgraded to the highest wireless security and still find it faster than the WEP security on my old router. I've never seen the display - so I have no idea what it says.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Multi PC and Gaming Router

I recently set up my home wireless system by replacing a Belkin G with a dual band Netgear Rangemax and it was a complete disaster. Rangemax had known firmware issues that prevented multiple computers from connecting without rebooting and disconnecting every five minutes - Rangemax client support was terrible. Now I have this DIR-855 installed and I love it! Up to three laptops, four desktops and two X-Box machines are running simultaneously anywhere on our network, and we won't experience anyโ€ฆ

DLink shone on this 1

Dude this is amazing. I have Windows 7, the speed is between 273 Mbps and 300 Mbps. I assume the people having trouble are not setting it up properly. It took a bit, but after putting everything together I noticed a hell of a difference. Before watching YouTube videos I always had to watch them in 240, and sometimes if I was lucky 360, but at 360 I always had to pause to allow the video to cache. Not now, now I can watch in 720 HD without buffering. It's the same with Hulu: when I was watchingโ€ฆ

Worked great when new but looks at the age

Worked great when new but looks at the age. Must be replaced within the next six months. But I've had it for many years, so it's definitely worth buying back then.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I don't remember

Works Great: Computers and Accessories

I recently returned the Linksys WRT610N and the adapter that came with it because I had a serious problem with it. Router functions at the highest level. Definitely worth the price. What else can you actually say? This router rocks.

A man buys a D-Link router, doubts his own existence.

I bought this brand new router in 2011. It was a very good router, but it was very expensive. This router lasted me almost 4 full years before deciding it no longer worked for me. I have a DIR 655 that I've had since 2007 or 2008 and it still works. I paid $238 for the DIR855 and $120 for the 655. Almost twice as much and half the lifespan. I got my money from it. However, this does not change my attitude towards D-Link. I will continue to use them as they have been the most reliable routers Iโ€ฆ

Best router I've ever used

So yesterday I set up my new router. We recently got fiber internet locally and this router works AMAZING. I had Netgear in the past, then Linksys (which I absolutely hated), then another Netgear, and now D-Link. I installed two routers in my house because we have a separate 4-season room and one router doesn't cover the entire area. So I have a Netgear WNDR3300 downstairs to cover part of it and a 4 season room and then a D-Link upstairs on the opposite side of the house. Netgear is dual band,

Reliable for four months

This device had problems with Netflix. Special port forwarding was required to connect to Netflix and view movie icons. No information was received from Netflix, LG Home or DLink regarding special requirements to connect to Netflix. This connection was never a problem with the previous Netgear router I used. It took excruciating searches and scouring of the internet to find the information. The 5.0 GHz radio came from the factory with a weak signal. Four months after purchase, the device beganโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

  • Expensive insurance
