I bought this brand new router in 2011. It was a very good router, but it was very expensive. This router lasted me almost 4 full years before deciding it no longer worked for me. I have a DIR 655 that I've had since 2007 or 2008 and it still works. I paid $238 for the DIR855 and $120 for the 655. Almost twice as much and half the lifespan. I got my money from it. However, this does not change my attitude towards D-Link. I will continue to use them as they have been the most reliable routers I have ever owned.
