I got this because my two 60 watt panels had a very high "VOC" (open circuit voltage) of 97 volts! My cheaper MPPT charge controller could only handle up to 50 volts. Most modern 24 volt panels are rated at 37 volts, well below this figure. But many "grid tied" panels are rated for 67 volts or higher, and require more expensive charge controllers that can handle up to 100 volts. I liked that you can program the battery type. . (Sealed, Gel, Filled, Li Ion) I didn't like that the controller can't be programmed to turn off when the batteries reach a predetermined voltage. Pre-installed, I don't know at what voltage. Overall not a bad value if you have high voltage panels. It shows the battery voltage and the amps coming to the panel.
