not for aluminum, flimzy handles
bought this to file down some squared holes in an aluminum chassis which was .055in thick. the 40 file should theoretically file the hole easily, but that wasnt the case. dont use these to file aluminum. also, the red rubber handle is very flimzy. after trying to file the edges of a hole in the chassis for like 10 minutes, the rubber broke and left the handle in bare metal. they work well for filing my soldering iron and other things, just not aluminum and other metals.
- Appear to be a good value, for cost, as a machinist these are handy for sharpening a variety of items
- Not real bad. I wanted some of them to be sharp on the corners. I will see how long they last.
