I have used it as a non slip furniture pad for two different purposes. In the first case, I applied it to the bottom of the shelf to keep it from sliding and scratching the desktop. It works great and is thin enough that there isn't a noticeable gap. The second time I used it as a bumper on the back of a wooden headboard to protect the wall. To do this I glued 2 layers together to make a thicker bumper. This tape cuts easily with scissors, doesn't stretch, and is stiff enough to protect my furniture. The glue isn't super sticky but works for my applications.
