Review on 🔧 Astro Pneumatic Tool 78830: Ultimate Heavy Duty Hub Drum and Rotor Puller Kit for Efficient Removal by Jeff Johnson

Case had a crack and the hinge was loose on the case upon delivery. I was able to move it apart and reattach the hinge so it's fine. It's safe enough for the amount I'm going to use. The important part of the review is that this tool is very well made. Details are difficult. On my 2007 Audi A6 C6 Quattro I was able to get the complete bearing pin out of the hub. Usually a bearing tears apart, but this tool removed the bearing from the hub in one shot (after removing it from the car, of course). Very good. I thought I would have to buy a crib and use a press. It worked. I made sure to lubricate the bolt threads and washers (used as thrust washers). The instructions were pretty terrible. I'm sure at least one illustration was completely reversed. You can determine the location you want by thought or by trial and error. I would highly recommend this tool as it saved me from having to buy a press, grapple or cut a bearing. All the things I was willing to do but didn't have to. I used long read jaws and they were bent and off center. However, they still had a good buy for the camp. Enough to remove the inner ring which is usually left behind. The case is actually fine, although mine was damaged in transit/shipping. I can fully recommend this remedy. I used a different bolt bearing to press the new bearing onto the old hub. It worked PERFECTLY. I used the bolt and couple of washers from that kit with another bearing tool I bought. LUBRICATE your tool ;) Use extreme pressure grease, not just oil. He will survive.
