Do not touch halogen lamps with bare hands!
Halogen lamps can easily burn out at the installer. Halogen lamps must not be touched with bare hands; Wear rubber or other gloves. Bare hands can leave oil deposits on the bulb, causing stains that overheat when the bulb is lit. These weak points allow halogen gas to escape and burn out the damaged lamp. A halogen lamp can last for many years with proper care.
