Good halogen lamp in halogen lamps

We use them in our guest bathroom - great lighting, warm colour, faceted glass shimmers on the wall. Work with gloved hands (avoid getting sebum on the glass to prolong life). Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Alright

Lower Wattage - Halogen Bulbs

I like these bulbs for their dramatic effect and lampshade patterns, but they aren't bright enough for large rooms. Previously I couldn't get higher wattage so I opted for lower wattage but not very bright. Dimmable which I love

What bulbs do I need

These bulbs are perfect for one of my lamps. They used to be available in retail stores but have been discontinued there. I got them from this site and they arrive quickly and safely every time. Good service!

A dimmer switch can be a light bulb savior.

My husband installed 2 new small chandeliers in our bedroom as part of our renovation. I felt like I could use these bulbs to match the crystals and look seamless. They look great and (after reading one of the reviews) we have a dimmer in our room so I'm hoping this will extend the life of the bulbs.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Some little things

Do not touch halogen lamps with bare hands!

Halogen lamps can easily burn out at the installer. Halogen lamps must not be touched with bare hands; Wear rubber or other gloves. Bare hands can leave oil deposits on the bulb, causing stains that overheat when the bulb is lit. These weak points allow halogen gas to escape and burn out the damaged lamp. A halogen lamp can last for many years with proper care.

Pros
  • Lamp life is 1000 hours on average
Cons
  • Expensive

I absolutely LOVE these bulbs

I absolutely LOVE these bulbs. I've had them in my chandeliers for several months with no problems. I will admit that mine have a dimmer, which is perhaps why they last so long. You look AMAZING. I'm ordering a ton more in case they run out. They make my Pottery Barn chandelier look like a million bucks and I get loads of compliments on it. Although the chandelier is very cool, it's the bulbs that really make it awesome.

  • Graduated Glass, Halogen, Medium Base, 43 Watt, 120 Volt

good bulb, some of the same bulbs for much less price

43W SL19 Eco -Halogen Cut Glass E26 (Medium), Cap, 120V (6 pcs) I use 18 Westinghouse eco-halogen lamps in my home. Things were popping like peanuts at such a rate I wondered if they were worth it. I took a close look at the burned out one and noticed that the burn mark was right over the base and not on the filament. Further investigation led me to believe the lamp had an internal fuse that blew, not a filament. I also noticed that my dining room chandelier, which has five bulbs, didn't have a
