Other reviewers are right. Without exaggeration. I'm 50. That's over 25 years of buying home appliances. I'm not one to say "oh gluten kills" or "cradle your baby in leaves and bark". No, I'm a 100% normal American consumer. Without exaggerating, we've had this carpet for a month now, with fans and an air purifier running constantly. I mean ALWAYS. Windows is open 90% of the time. To this day, if you listen to the bedroom, it smells like Exon Valdez has anchored in the room. Incredibly strong smell, incredible feeling in the lungs, God forbid leaving the window closed, watery eyes. I've tried vacuuming dozens of times. Tried carpet cleaner (actually gotten worse!). Baking powder, borax, commercial products. Nothing works and nothing gets better. Worst of all, the left side smells even more than the top of the carpet. I have to imagine that this gassing goes on forever. We call. Buy nice or buy twice is the rule to live by. We donate it (although I'm hesitant to put it on anyone else) and buy something from a local store where we can see, touch, touch and validate the product. Please please please stop disturbing these clowns. I can only imagine what we have already filtered into our lungs and sinuses through this Chinese porridge.
