this is a beautiful rug. however

First of all it is a beautiful carpet. but it flips and flips and flips and flips – it never ends no matter how much we suck it. it also rolls up and the real fibers of the yarn are pulled out. I would return it if it weren't for such issues. This is the first review I have ever written as I don't want people to go through what we are STILL going through with this rug. still be available. it's a tan with reddish-orange accents.

Excellent wool rug for the price

I have had this rug for a few months now. It exceeded my expectations. I've never had a wool rug so I can't compare it to others but I'm very happy with it. The pile is firm and thick and has held up well for the months I've owned it. No signs of wear and in a very busy area. The colors are pleasant. It means vacuuming the carpet, but I've found that a powerful brush creates traction, so I now use an electric broom, which doesn't have a powerful whisk, instead of my full-size vacuum.

Color and design will not be the same when ordering multiple sizes

Ordered two Ivory/Red in two different sizes and the color and design are different, they are very different rugs even though they appear on the website as the same rug are displayed in different sizes. . The carpets are beautiful but disappointing if you want the same carpets! The 5x7 has an ivory background and the red is a soft red/rust color and the 8x10 has a cream (lighter than ivory) background with deep red trim and the design of the rugs is very different! So. BEWARE. If you purchase…

Good quality for money.

Nice, thick, heavy carpet, but as others have said, the color was not at all the same as in the photo. Oddly enough I went to take a picture of the photo here and it turned out to be the same color as the photo I just took of the real carpet on my floor. So for those who are thinking of buying this rug, know that it has more taupe and beige tones than all the gold and orange tones that I wanted. But I'm keeping the rug because it's quite nice and fits well enough in my dining room. (My Maltese…

Good carpet but sheds more than my dog.

I've had this rug for about three months now. I also ordered the same design for another room with a 6x6 square. A square rug has much lighter colors than a rectangular one. See photo. My friends thought the larger carpet was old because it was faded. Also rectangular carpet canopies. A lot of. Every day I remove clumps of carpet lint from around the living room and other places where it's flying around. When will the carpet stop fluffing? Or will it? The square rug does not pill at all. They…

delightfully surprised

The rug was well made with fine handmade quality, definitely not factory made and that's the kicker; My wife liked it so he stayed. However, the lack of a zoom option, as one lady cited in her review as a reason for not buying, was 100% correct; The color in the ad was different from what you actually received. After comparing the printed photo of the advertising carpet with the original, the difference was convincing. I was expecting a muted pale gold green with worn patterns that we saw in…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember

Other reviewers are right. Without exaggeration. I'm 50. That's over 25 years of buying home appliances. I'm not one to say "oh gluten kills" or "cradle your baby in leaves and bark". No, I'm a 100% normal American consumer. Without exaggerating, we've had this carpet for a month now, with fans and an air purifier running constantly. I mean ALWAYS. Windows is open 90% of the time. To this day, if you listen to the bedroom, it smells like Exon Valdez has anchored in the room. Incredibly strong…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
