I love the Japanese Tawashi shoe brush. I had one before (another brand bought in Japan) but couldn't find it after moving so I ended up ordering this set of 2 Palm shoe brushes. Very disappointed. I think they've been sitting on the shelf for too long - part of the brush was so dry it was flaking on my sink (only wiped a couple of times). I had to throw them both out. I highly recommend the Japanese Tawash shoe brush, but not this specific one with special conditions.
