Review on Eagle 1662 Funnel Screen Diameter by Michael Boonme

The rainwater barrel MUST be oil system tool compatible

I decided to go green and build a rainwater barrel for my wife and her great love of all things green. My biggest problem was that my house in South Georgia doesn't have gutters and I had no plans to install them any time soon. I needed something that could collect a lot of runoff from the roof of my house in a corner that would concentrate a lot of water when it rained. I made a rain barrel using a new water barrel I found cheaper on a competitor's website and some parts I ordered from Revain, like teflon tape and two brass faucets. Everything is insanely overpriced at my local hardware store since we are in a small US town. So I had everything installed and working without the possibility of efficient rainwater collection. I looked at a number of options such as a tarp spread out on poles with cords or cables to support them, building a massive collection point, a special funnel made by a company on the internet specifically for collecting water in a freestanding water butt (which is WAY overpriced and thankfully out of print) and then THIS. I am very satisfied with this car part for my purpose! It works great for my specific application. Well, to be fair, you would definitely collect more water faster and more efficiently if you had gutters and a dedicated gutter drainpipe app, but this works great after a really good rain or two. My wife waters her back porch garden full of flowers of all kinds, both potted and planted in the ground. If you have a small flower garden, one barrel should do the trick. If you need more water you can always install more barrels as an overflow, but gutters certainly make a lot more sense. But it was great for me with my little corner, where the water flowed like a waterfall when it rained.
