OTA Installation

Like many these days. I cut the cable with cable / satellite and connect to streaming services and an OTA antenna. To my surprise I found a nice big antenna installed in the attic by the previous owner. I read that I can use the already installed satellite cabling for the OTA signal. Disconnect any satellite cables going to the dish and connect my RG6 from the antenna to this green 4 pin splitter. The signal actually reached the TV. Unfortunately, the runs are very long and I had significant pixelation. I tried the amp, it got worse. Long story short, after a lot of trial and error, I found that the splitter was my problem. I ordered this branded ge and connected everything. Now everything is perfect. I'm 25 miles from the towers and the antenna in the attic is showing full signal strength on almost all available channels. This is a very low loss splitter compared to others. Neither an amplifier nor the antenna, which is actually beautifully installed in the attic, has to be moved completely to the rear. But hey, it works. I love this simple little splitter from ge.
