Buy another scanner

This scanner does not automatically download the VIN on a vehicle. (Tried domestic, European and Asian cars) Tried to enter VIN manually. Didn't load. Enter the car model and year. Finally got around to scanning the codes. OBD codes are read, but inactive codes cannot be erased. I tried scanning the SRS and ABS, it showed the codes for systems the car wasn't equipped with, which was misleading. After about 30 minutes I gave up and go back.
