I love the FlexiFlip needles for knitting socks. They are comfortable for my arthritic hands and having all the stitches on two needles while I knit on the other helps speed up my knitting. Actual sock sized calipers feel tight and seem to be making my arthritis worse. Using two circular stitches slows me down, as does knitting with a magic stitch (and I always forget and pull too many stitches). I also like that I can choose the finish that best suits my yarn. I usually like sharp, pointy needles, but when the yarn is split it's better to use blunt needles. As always with Addi very well processed. This size, right between US 1 and 2, fills a gap in my collection. Being a spinner (I also twist some of the yarns I work with) I'm used to pulling a loop of yarn through the holes in a needle knife to determine the best needle size. If it fits without shrinking and filling the hole, that's the size I use as I've been taught to knit to size (tight or loose knitters will need to adjust how it works for them, or better yet, adjust, how tight they pull the yarn). Sometimes 1 is too small and 2 is too big which is why I wanted them. They're perfect for the socks I'm about to start making. Thank you for reading my review.
