Description of 🧶 FlexiFlips DPN Knitting Needles (4.5mm / US 7) by addi

These specially designed 21cm circulars (3.5" tips with 1" cord) rest comfortably in the hand, and act as flexible double pointed needles. Cast-on to an effortless new method of knitting socks, cuffs, hats, and many of other projects which are worked in the round, with the addi FlexiFlips. Easy to use, stitches are simply distributed over two needles, and then knit with the third, resulting in only two needle changes per row. Featuring the same dual-tip design as the popular addi FlipStix, the FlexiFlips feature both an addi Rocket tip and an addi Turbo tip. You will always have the right needle, when you need it. Overly versatile, FlexiFlips also make great cable needles.

Buy two sets at Knitting Needles

I ran into the gusset in my sock construction and they completely failed in my book. I had to switch everything to my regular US1 Addi Turbo Rocket circular needles. I liked the feel of the FlexiFlips but needed another pin to complete my project. I think 3 larger needles are enough for hats and the like, but for socks, mittens or gloves you need at least one more needle. Also, pay attention to where you start each row. It's nice to be able to use two different tips, but I found that the…

Excellent quality needles

I bought these 2.75mm needles to knit some heavier yarn as I really didn't understand the DPN and the magic loop too find complicated. for my taste. I love these needles! The needles are smooth, the seams are smooth, you can knit quickly. My only agreement is that one end of the needle on each of the three needles is blunter than the other end (which, to be honest, isn't that sharp/pointy anyway). This made the heel of my sock sore a bit as the blunt end struggled to pick up stitches and double

Great for knitting socks

I love the FlexiFlip needles for knitting socks. They are comfortable for my arthritic hands and having all the stitches on two needles while I knit on the other helps speed up my knitting. Actual sock sized calipers feel tight and seem to be making my arthritis worse. Using two circular stitches slows me down, as does knitting with a magic stitch (and I always forget and pull too many stitches). I also like that I can choose the finish that best suits my yarn. I usually like sharp, pointy…

Faster than DPN for knitting socks

Received my first set of these needles yesterday afternoon. I immediately put on a sock and by late evening I was almost ready to start heeling. Here are my honest thoughts on sock knitting. I am an avid knitter and only knit top down. I know my pattern in my head and I knit DPN quickly. It took me about 5 rows of 64 stitches to get used to these needles. I held the back needle with the tips between the thumb and forefinger of each hand. It's similar to what I do with DPN, so it wasn't new to…
