UPDATE: It's been years since I bought these to replace most of our paper towels. Although we have a few worn rags, they are still useful, absorb moisture better and are softer. I still really like that these towels save on our disposables and they are so much nicer than paper towels. My family tries to limit paper products. I bought them (and then twice more) and keep them in a basket on the counter. Once used, they end up in another small basket that we use as a daily basket in the kitchen. I have about 150 of these, so I wash them every 4-5 days to make sure they don't "run out". They make great napkins, quick utensils and work hard to clean up the mess. They don't absorb as much as we'd like until washed a few times, but they certainly make it easy for us to get rid of paper towels.
