Review on Adjustable Brown Leather Holster: Perfect for Medieval/Samurai Swords - 38 inch SZCO Supplies by Eduardo Reyes

Virtually useless.

Where to start? Well, on the plus side, the leather appears to be of decent quality and feels quite durable. But on the negative side: it seems completely useless to me. There is no angle in the loops for the sword to pass through and as a result the sword does not hang at a comfortable angle. Neither when using this device as a belt, nor when using it as a shoulder strap. Also, it's not a belt. This is not a continuous leather loop that is closed by a buckle, but two riveted leather loops, one of which leads to the tongue and the other to the buckle. Only a sword or other hard object that goes through two loops will be held for you to carry. So if you put a sword through the loops without a scabbard and clip it to your waist belt, as soon as you draw the sword it will just fall off [this can happen if you also have a scabbard]. This fact is not entirely clear. according to the photos accompanying the goods. I wouldn't spend your money on that.

Pros
  • Buckle closure
Cons
  • Very expensive
