Review on Acer XV273K Pbmiipphzx: Ultra HD 4K Gaming Monitor with DisplayHDR400, 144Hz & Built-In Speakers by Anthony Caudle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best monitor, but the best in my rating

After I received this monitor, hooked it up and started playing, I was very surprised by all the negative reviews. I read them, saw all the complaints about the corner brightness issue and couldn't understand where it all came from. Everything was perfect for me, right out of the box, I didn't even have to change the settings. Colors are vibrant, picture is crisp and 144Hz makes me drool. I was upgrading from a regular 4k monitor so I was blown away by the best of both worlds (resolution and refresh rate). I want to play a lot of games that I haven't played in a long time. If there are any downsides to this monitor, it's that I've noticed that some people have had power outages. It happened to me too. The screen would sometimes go black for a few seconds and then return to normal. It may sound strange, but the common denominator was WIFI. People who said their Wi-Fi router was too close to the monitor experienced these dropouts. Mine was on the opposite side of the room though, so I ruled that out. Except that I had a wi-fi receiver plugged into my computer which I didn't use as I had a direct internet cable plugged into my computer. As soon as I removed the WiFi receiver, the dimming stopped. I have no idea why it worked, but it worked, as did the people I found online. So if you doubt this monitor, dump it and buy it! As I said in the title, this is the best monitor I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Absolutely no complaints (I rarely write reviews by the way, so I feel strong enough for this monitor to write this one)
