Time(x) capsule on compact radios and stereo systems

I had one many years ago but lost it when moving house. Watches are in no way necessarily spectacular. Awkward to set up, screen could be brighter, sound is mediocre, no aux port or USB. However, the sounds of nature are pleasant and the buzzer is not offensive. So why the 5 star rating? Probably nostalgia, but this is a very good alarm clock.
