I love this TIG finger heat shield. At first I thought it was a gimmick but I should have known better as Jody of Welding Tips & Tricks provides them. He has done more for the amateur and professional welding community than anyone but Miller, Lincoln, Hobart or Victor. If there's no reason other than supporting this guy, you might want to try one of these finger heat shields. You will love it if you do TIG welding at all. I've also used plasma cutting when I need to stabilize the part I'm cutting. Now I can focus on the cut or the weld instead of how hot my pinky gets and deal with myself burning myself further.
