Due to the design (braid) the belt is nice and flexible and not rigid. It wears very well and looks nice too. For a men's belt, however, it should be a little wider. The belt buckle looks "used", i.e. a belt with a vintage look. There are no holes, the spike IS put through the mesh. You know and smell that it is genuine leather. I'm just not sure what animal skin it is. The workmanship is simple, but clean and clean. I give this belt four stars.
