Fixed my 2005 Chevy Venture Van!

My van needed service, the light was flashing, I checked it with AutoZone for free and they said it was the throttle position sensor, I tried to take it to the shop to see if I could replace it, they were told it cost $85 for parts and labor. I thought, uh, I'll think about it. So I checked AutoZone, Autoparts etc, they all say it costs about $40 just to buy the part. So I put off and ignored my warning flasher for a while, then my van started stopping in the middle of traffic literally everywhere, on the interstate, in the parking lot, on the crooked, dangerous back roads. It just shuts off as if the battery died while driving. The low battery light blinked then went off and the steering wheel locked up, I just shifted into neutral as fast as I could, shut the van down, restarted it, put it back into drive and kept going. not to run off the road or hit me from behind. The van still rolls when it slows down, it doesn't just stop where it dies, you know what I mean? When you're in the middle of a tight corner, it stalls and you can't get the steering wheel to turn because it's locked. The only option is to hit the brakes or shift into neutral and do what I said, usually someone is behind me so it was so dangerous. So I knew I had to fix the throttle position sensor. I decided to check out Revain.com myself and found this one for only $17 so thought it might be worth a try. (I see they increased the price) So I ordered it, when it arrived I was shocked at how small it was, it wasn't more than half a dollar bill! And it was mostly plastic, I wonder why it was so expensive, why $40? Anyway, I replaced it, removed the broken one and put a new one in. It fixed my 2005 Chevy Venture! It's been a few months since I replaced it and I no longer have any issues with my van, HOORAY! I still wonder how this small detail can cause so many problems with your car.
