Review on Sustainable PlanToys Wooden Lacing Beads (5353) - Eco-friendly Rubberwood, Non-toxic Paints and Dyes by Ashley Nelson

I've looked at various lace beads and I have to say this is the best set I've found and definitely worth the money! The beads are larger than you might expect as you can't tell from the picture. The blue and yellow round beads are 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The green beads are 1 3/8 inches long and smaller in diameter than the blue and yellow beads. Orange dice 1 1/8 inch. To put this in the right light: the blue and yellow round beads have exactly the same diameter as the hole in the toilet paper wrapper. As they fit in a toilet roll, a minimum age of 3 equates to a potential choking hazard. However, I bought them for my 21 month old daughter who is eating poorly and loves such a tiring job. I just watch her play with it and keep it on a high shelf when she's done. My daughter loves them! Another important note: Plan Toys is a quality toy company you can count on for safety! These beads are not coated with paint that will chip over time, unlike most other beads on the market. They are actually tinted with the colors you see. This gives them the beautiful looks and unique durability you would expect from all Plan toys. I'm excited about them! They can be used to develop fine motor skills, as well as color recognition, sorting and matching. The simple design and bright colors are perfect for a variety of learning opportunities, especially since each shape is painted the same repeating color (e.g. all the cubes are orange). We add dry paste to the beads to thread them and mix things up/textures a bit.
