I'm a big fan of Mill Hill Cross Stitch and Bead Embroidery Kits. I bought a few of these sets for Halloween 2015 at my local craft store and have been busy sewing. The price here is great compared to what I paid. This set has lots of bright colors and is a lot of fun to embroider - all witch legs and a cute black cat. The beads are divided into several bags, the yarn is (unfortunately) not spread out and you get the necessary needles for cross-stitching and beadwork. to complete the design. When I'm done, I always save my pins so I have them on hand in case I lose a pin on my next project. Sewing perforated paper is fun, it's done in 14 counts so it's pretty easy to see. First I do cross stitch, then beadwork, backstitch (although sometimes I do it in reverse depending on how much backstitch there is in each design), and finally I add buttons or charms. What I really appreciate is that Wichelt and Mill Hill also sell frames to match the design separately, making it very easy and relatively inexpensive to complete the design.
