These gloves are thick but not thick enough to protect hands from the heat of the water as advertised. Oddly enough, when I wet part of the gloves with hot water, the whole glove got hot, and the heat remaining inside hurt my hands. For that reason, and also because they can't grab anything, I wouldn't recommend using them to take things out of the oven! While latex washing-up gloves ensure a good grip, every dish and glass simply slips out of your hand when washing dishes. Also, due to the thickness and shape of the glove, it's very difficult to move your fingers to pick something up - it's like arm training, which I didn't want to do. Now I could endure these problems if the gloves were cleaned really well - which they don't! I wiped a glass very hard for 5 minutes and looked at it and it's still dirty. The silicone bristles are not stiff enough and are not dishwasher-safe for the round silicone muff that is included. I haven't tried wiping floors with it, but based on my testing, it's better if you just use a rag. Using a sponge cleans my dishes in seconds, it would take me over 5 minutes to clean with it. I was very disappointed with their quality and ease of use. It was almost like they couldn't test the product before launching it.
