Review on Enhance Growth of Aquarium Plants with Clscea PMMA CO2 Diffuser & Bubble Counter by Amy Taylor

Durable, high quality diffuser; super little bubbles.

Very happy with this diffuser. First I bought the jar for $10 and it broke when I tried to connect the CO2 hose. I bought this because of the price and the features. It is made of plastic, which is relatively flexible. I didn't feel like it would break, it flexes a little and gives a little when you connect the hose which is a pretty stiff material for high pressure CO2. If I were to order another glass it would definitely break again. The hose fits snugly on the stem, does not leak or burst under pressure. The diffusion material itself is of high quality. It gives off those super cool tiny bubbles even at low pressure. The manufacturer recommends soaking it for 24 hours before pressurizing the line and it seems to work well. The diffusion disc is replaceable, so you don't have to worry about cleaning when pores inevitably get clogged. The seal around the disc is tight. It comes with a non-slip rubber handle to help you unscrew. Some reviews of other diffusers, particularly glass diffusers, have found a poor seal around the disc, resulting in any bubbles escaping the edge or the disc detaching from the glass. Not this diffuser. It seems capable of high pressure, although I even enjoy bubbles at around 0.5 bubbles per second in a young 3 gallon tank. The chamber below the diffuser disc can be filled with water so that the diffuser itself acts as a bubble counter. The first image shows 2 bubbles per second, the second 0.5 bubbles per second. Note that at lower pressure the bubbles are still very small.
