This is great to be able to record shows but it's not .
We bought this for my mom because she has a couple shows on at the same time and was using a VCR that finally quit working. This is great to be able to record shows but it's not user-friendly. It took myself and my two siblings to figure out how to set it record something in advance. We had to write a cheat sheet for my mom to follow. The instruction book is so tiny that we used a magnifying glass to read them. I love that it records but wish it was easier to use.
