I bought these for salsa and they are great. Unlike other dance heels with ankle straps and buckles, the elastic band covers most of the foot, providing stability and eliminating the feeling of the shoe dangling on the foot. I've also found that my feet slide forward on most heels and sometimes kick my toes out of the edge of the shoe, and even those gel inserts didn't stop that. They land my fingers with plenty of room. The jewelry is beautiful and will not fall off if someone steps on my foot, but there is a pouch of loose jewelry that can be taped just in case. The suede sole makes it very easy to roll on, but the shoes are so beautiful I wish they had made a solid sole so I could wear them outside! If the elastic starts to loosen with prolonged wear I will update my review.
