Review on 🧰 GEARWRENCH 7 Piece Metric Magnetic Oil Drain Plug Socket Set, 3/8-Inch Drive, 6 Point - Model 3870D by Mario Newton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No more need to fish out the drain plug from the bottom of the oil pan

Changing the oil yourself will make the task much easier. The sockets are well made and fit a standard 3/8 drive, as well as a patented toothed ratchet that allows sockets to be used in some situations. Once the drain plug has been loosened, it can be easily removed by hand thanks to the knurled collar, even when wearing rubber gloves, and a strong magnet prevents the plug from falling into the waste oil slick. The pad might not behave as well and there's still a chance of some oil dripping down your arm to your elbow, but it can still happen. The rounded slot going into the ratchet is a good grip point after the connector is about halfway loose; with your fingers under the boot, some of the initial gush of oil is deflected away from the clutch.
