The main thing I don't like about this product is that I paid for it. There is no reason you would ever need the work this product is designed to do. Seriously you don't need a lid for your coffee with Chemex, one of the benefits of the design is how much better the coffee gets when it's reheated. I usually just set it on low but the lid is just unnecessary, a waste of money. Also, the thing just falls out when you pour the last cup. The shape of the Chemex is more likely to blame, but this product is at best an attempt to correct a design flaw in the Chemex system. In the end, it's just an unnecessary solution that ruins the brewer's aesthetic. As a big Chemex user I thought I'd give it a try but I don't recommend it, just leave it, you don't need it. If you REALLY need a lid, which I don't think is necessary at all as I've experimented with this before, buy a genuine Chemex lid, which at least looks nice. I don't have one but I sincerely regret not buying it instead, at least I wish I could add it to my set!
