Review on ๐Ÿšด Cycling in Comfort: Origin8 Pro Cork Handlebar Tape for Enhanced Grip and Ride Experience by Ryan Fitch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Feels good, wraps easily

It's "made of real cork" but looks like bits of cork mixed with thick foam. Regardless, it's what I expected and it's a decent volume. Opens well. You can stretch it well to shape the handlebar flex and levers without tearing the tape. It's much easier to use than a real cork. I used extra double sided tape on the pole pieces to keep them securely in place as all the tape will try to peel off on you. I couldn't do a traditional figure eight around the arms due to the thickness of the band, so I used the small patches that were provided to cover the brake armbands and just wrapped them around the arms. I did not use the attached end. Traffic jams. They are designed to work if you wrap the tape around the bars. I prefer to cut the tape at an angle so it's flush and use expansion plugs. I also didn't use the pieces of tape that came with it, instead using white Scotch 35 tape to match my white brake cables. It looks great and gives the handlebars a very soft feel. I don't know how long this will last, but for the price I don't mind re-spooling the rods from time to time.
