Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance Your Carburetor's Performance with Mr. Gasket 3710 Carburetor Heat Shield by Charles Purnell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Doesn't fit directly under Edelbrock 1405, but definitely the best choice.

Surprisingly good quality heat shield (no chance of melting like those ridiculous "sandwich" shields CoolCarb sells). While I think this screen is really meant for a Holly (I'd just go with a Holley plate if you're using this carb, although it's thinner than Mr. Gasket's suggestion), the 3710 slides relatively under an Edelbrock 1405/Carter AFB simple Dremel modifications. For example, I bought mine to use on a Chrysler LA 360 (with Mopar double deck engine, M1 intake with Magnum compatible head bolts) topped with an Edelbrock engine. If I remember correctly, to clean the carburetor I only had to make a gap in one spot for the e-choke. I also remember having to cut an inverted crescent into the left rear of the panel to clear the intake vacuum tee, but of course that's specific to this engine and intake. It also compliments the engine bay quite well and looks very clean (and also hides the mold marks on the "Mopar M1" intake plus as I painted the intake to match the engine). Eventually I will update my review with photos.
