Microfiber for kitchen and table linen

Basically, it's microfiber that I hate. Despite being soft, they still nestle in my hands, which is about as comfortable as chewing on aluminum foil. They are also terry, I use a flat weave for kitchen towels so using them for dishes can be a little confusing. I have to say they absorb more water than a flat weave. So if you dry your meals a lot, these are the ones to go for. Sometimes when I'm preparing multiple servings of dishes, I need to use two or three flat weave towels. These towels leave no lint like most terry towels do. Didn't shrink much in the wash. They are a mix though so I don't know if they will be pills after a while but looks like they will last a long time. I will use them for other household chores. Maybe for my Swiffer, maybe my son will use them to dry his car. But they seem to be too microfiber to use as tea towels or hand towels.
