Great towel that actually absorbs liquid

I bought this towel based on the high reviews and need for a good absorbent tea towel. I was sorely disappointed with Sham Wow orange towels for those who remember. It does not work. However, this was such a big surprise and it did not disappoint. My requirement is that it should be soft, absorb water and not leave streaks. This towel does just that. Much better than cotton kitchen towels

I don't like the microfiber texture - rough/dry spots on hands can stick to it. But I like the absorbency of microfiber. When I want to spray water around the sink or dry freshly washed dishes, they are PERFECT. I can spend five minutes smearing water with my cotton washcloths, or I can take a smack with these guys and get all the water. And they dry quickly too. Microfiber for kitchen and table linen

Basically, it's microfiber that I hate. Despite being soft, they still nestle in my hands, which is about as comfortable as chewing on aluminum foil. They are also terry, I use a flat weave for kitchen towels so using them for dishes can be a little confusing. I have to say they absorb more water than a flat weave.
