I bought this to measure the width of the lugs between the watch and the extra straps I had. I thought plastic would be better to avoid scratching the metal case of my watch. After trying them all day and getting constantly different measurements for the same watch even after zeroing it for accuracy I returned it and ended up buying the more accurate VINCA DCLA-0605 which worked great and came with a case for everything became difference to them. to lose like that. I highly recommend spending the extra $10 to get accurate measurements.
