I've never liked non-stick surfaces for various reasons. I find them uncomfortable and potentially unsafe. Give me a good, reliable stainless steel every day. I was looking for a replacement for my mom's old stainless steel sunbeam unit that she had had since we were kids and found a very good one. I received the 12" size, which I think is the typical size you're seeing. If you have a large family and storage space, I would recommend the 16" unit if you plan to use it frequently. Maybe I'll pick up a bigger one for myself later. This unit is heavy and well made. It's nice to see these days! Some stickless models are very light and feel cheap. I always think they cover the cheapness with a non-stick coating So you don't notice lol The handles on this appliance are sturdy and a glass lid is always welcome They remain a very useful kitchen utensil and it's so nice to be able to get a good one.
